For the poor image assignment, I have decided to work with audio. My process will be to layer a variety of distorted audio files; distortion by repeatedly playing an audio file into another recording device until the product is satisfyingly unintelligible.
The image below is of my portable karaoke machine. I will be using it to record my voice, play, or create sound effects. The machine comes with additional features, like voice changers, that further distort the sounds it amplifies, so it will be interesting to experiment with all the possibilities.
The content I will be reciting may be subject to change, a mix of several materials, such as old voice recordings, gibberish, sound effects, song lyrics, speeches, anecdotes, and whatever I can think of.
But the thing to ground everything will be to just have fun with it and see where it takes me.
